IMG_2489ExxonMobil added multiple features to its Speedpass+ iOS app earlier this week.

The new features include support for the Apple Watch and Touch ID, as well as the ability to add the Speedpass+ app to Ford and Lincoln vehicles with the Sync3 infotainment system.

The addition of Apple Watch support allows owners of the wearable to pay for fuel and car washes using the watch and Apple Pay at over 10,000 Exxon and Mobil filling stations in the United States. To use the app, the driver need only open the Speedpass+ watch app, select the pump he is at, authorize it for payment, and double-tap the watch’s side button to start Apple Pay.

The Sync 3 feature allows users to use voice commands or the car’s touch screen to pay for fuel and the app will also report on how much fuel remains in the tank.
