Delta to Launch JFK-Rio de Janeiro Flights

DSC_5025Delta Air Lines announced that it will begin new service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on December 21.

The carrier will operate the service daily.

Flights are scheduled to depart New York at 9:24 p.m. and arrive at Rio de Janeiro–Galeão International Airport at 10:30 a.m. the next morning. From Rio, flights will depart at 10:15 p.m. and arrive back in New York at 5:36 a.m. the following morning.

Delta will operate the route using Boeing 767-400 aircraft, equipped with 40 lie-flat seats in Delta One, 28 seats in Delta Comfort+, the airline’s premium economy lite section, and 178 seats in economy. Seats in Delta One are 21” wide and have a pitch of 77” to 81”.
