Copa Airlines, Turkish Airlines Plan New Partnership

DSC_0466Copa Airlines and Turkish Airlines announced the signing of a new codeshare agreement.

The agreement will allow Turkish to place its code on Copa Airlines flights between Panama City, Panama, and various destinations throughout South America and the Caribbean, including David, Panama; Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Manaus, Belo Horizonte and Sao Paulo, Brazil; Santo Domingo and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; Guayaquil and Quito, Ecuador; San Salvador, El Salvador; Asuncion, Paraguay; and Lima, Peru.

In addition, Copa will be allowed to place its code on Turkish-operated flights between Panama and Istanbul.

Pending further government approvals in the future, Turkish will also be able to place its code on Copa flights to Cancun, Mexico City, and Guadalajara, Mexico; Managua, Nicaragua; San Jose, Costa Rica; and Montevideo, Uruguay.

Copa Airlines and Turkish Airlines are both members of Star Alliance.
