DSC_0822 (1)One passenger was arrested after a fight erupted on board a Southwest Airlines aircraft that had just arrived in Burbank, California from Dallas.

Southwest Flight 2530 was parked at the gate at Burbank Bob Hope Airport in the San Fernando Valley Sunday night when the incident occurred.

Several videos circulating on the Internet show three passengers involved in the altercation. Southwest said in a statement that the police were summoned and one passenger was arrested. The video shows one passenger repeatedly punching another while a third screams “Stop it! What is wrong with you?” repeatedly.

Burbank police identified the assailant as Chaze Mickalo Cable, of Lancaster. He was charged with assault and battery and is being held on $50,000 bail. The police said that the victim suffered a contusion to his left eye, a laceration to his nose, and a chipped tooth.

The incident follows multiple disturbances on board U.S. and foreign carriers including the forced removal of a passenger from a United flight in March, a near-riot at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport after Spirit Airlines cancelled nine flights because their pilots failed to show up, and a fight between two passengers on an ANA flight that was aloft.
