Turkish Airlines Begins Service to Samara, Russia

DSC_0466Turkish Airlines announced the launch of new service between Istanbul and Samara, Russia. The carrier will operate the route three times a week.

Flights will depart Istanbul Atatürk Airport at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arrive at Kurumoch International Airport in Samara at 12:55 a.m. the next morning. Return flights are scheduled to depart at 2:05 a.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving back in Istanbul at 4:45 a.m.

Turkish Airlines will operate the route using Boeing 737 aircraft.

The airline serves other major destinations in Russia including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Rostov, Kazan, Ufa, and Stavropol.

Samara is the sixth largest city in Russia. It is in the southeastern part of European Russia, and has a population of approximately 1.16 million people.
