Spirit Airlines to Discontinue All Cuba Flights

DSC_0335 (1)Spirit Airlines announced it will end all flights to Cuba at the end of May.

The airline currently offers twice daily service between Fort Lauderdale and Havana.

In the period May 3 through May 23, Spirit will drop down to one daily flight, and then operate two daily flights until the end of the month, at which point it will discontinue all service to the island nation.

In March, in addition to reductions in flying to Cuba from American and JetBlue, Silver Airways announced it would discontinue flights from Fort Lauderdale to Cuba effective April 22, and Frontier said it would end its Miami-Havana route on June 4.
