The passenger who was seen by millions on social media being dragged off a United Airlines aircraft has reached a settlement with the airline, his attorney said Thursday.

Dr. David Dao, a Kentucky physician, was forcibly removed from Flight 3411 from Chicago to Louisville by Chicago Department of Aviation personnel earlier this month, resulting in a concussion, broken nose, and two missing teeth.

The settlement came before Dr. Dao had even filed a lawsuit, according to his attorney, Thomas Demetrio.

Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

United confirmed what it called an “amicable resolution” to the case in a statement. Earlier on Thursday it announced ten changes it was making to improve the customer experience and avoid future such incidents.
