DSC_0533NEW YORK—If you are flying into LaGuardia’s Central Terminal, be prepared to take the bus before meeting your Uber or Lyft driver.

Passengers arriving at the Central Terminal, also known as Terminal B, will be asked to take the Green Route Shuttle Bus to the new pickup area for app-based rides and car services. The bus is accessible from Passenger Pick-Up Area 11B on the arrivals level of the terminal.

The move is intended to “reduce traffic and motor vehicle congestion” around the terminal while the new Central Terminal building is being built, the airport, said in a statement. The change will be in effect for one month while officials evaluate if it

Drop-offs will continue to be directly at the terminal. Other terminals at the airport, including the Marine Air Terminal and Delta Air Lines’ terminals, are unaffected by the change.
