Hilton Hotels and Resorts announced the completion of a major expansion of the Hilton Munich Airport hotel in Germany, formerly the Kempinski Munich Airport.

The hotel, which connects directly to Terminal 2 at the airport, now offers 162 additional guestrooms, bringing the total number of rooms to 551. Rooms on the top floor of the hotel offer views of the airport’s runway.

Rooms feature design elements of the Alps, given the airport’s close proximity to the mountain range, and highlight material such as oak, natural stone, and felt, and embrace an overall mountain theme.

The east wing of the property’s meeting center was also enlarged, so it can now accommodate up to 500 guests, and the hotel has a total of 17 either brand new or newly renovated event rooms.
