American Signs Order for 4 Embraer E175s

DSC_0659American Airlines and Embraer announced an order for four E175 jets. The purchase is valued at $182 million based on current list prices.

Envoy, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines, will operate the jets under the American Eagle name. The jets will be configured with 12 seats in first class, 20 in Main Cabin Extra, and 44 main cabin seats.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the last quarter of this year.

To date, Embraer has received over 1,700 orders for the E-Jets family, with over 1,300 deliveries.
