Alaska to Debut New Routes from Los Angeles, Portland

IMG_4341Alaska Airlines announced that it plans to launch new service from Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon, this year. The carrier will begin daily flights between Portland and Detroit on August 30; daily service between Los Angeles and Philadelphia on September 1; and daily Portland-New York flights on November 6.

Flights from Portland to Detroit will depart at 10:30 p.m. and arrive at 5:30 a.m. From Detroit, flights are scheduled to depart at 7 a.m. and arrive in Portland at 8:45 a.m. Alaska will operate the service using Boeing 737 aircraft.

Flights from Los Angeles to Philadelphia will depart at 8:45 p.m. and arrive at 5 a.m. the next morning. Return flights will depart Philadelphia at 6:30 a.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 9:26 a.m. The carrier will use Airbus A320 aircraft on the route.

Flights to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport will depart Portland at 11:05 p.m. and arrive at 7:30 a.m. From New York, flights will depart at 9:30 a.m. and arrive in Portland at 12:55 p.m. Alaska plans to operate the service using Boeing 737 aircraft.
