Over 100 national security and foreign policy experts, in a letter sent Friday, denounced President Trump’s March 6 travel ban saying it would “weaken U.S. security and undermine U.S. global leadership.”

Signatories to the letter, which was also sent to many current cabinet members, include the former Secretaries of State Madeleine Albright and John Kerry as well as officials who served in both Republican and Democratic administrations.

The revised executive order banning travel from six Muslim-majority countries “suffers from the same core substantial defects as the previous one” and “will jeopardize our relationship with allies and partners on whom we rely for vital counterintelligence cooperation and information-sharing.”

The officials, who totaled 134, also argued that the revised ban continues to discriminate against Muslims and will reinforce “the propaganda of ISIS and other extremist groups that falsely claim that the United States is at war with Islam.”
