New DoubleTree by Hilton Opens at University of Minnesota

Hilton Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Minneapolis – University Area in the Twin Cities. The property is located on the campus of the University of Minnesota.

The five-story hotel has 141 guestrooms and suites, each with a 43” HD TV, and many with views of downtown Minneapolis. The property also offers a 24-hour fitness center and a heated indoor pool.

Dining options include Made Market Restaurant, which features steaks, chops, and fish, and a 24-hour market pantry, which offers snacks, sandwiches, salads, beer, and wine.

The hotel has 6,500 square feet (603 square meters) of meeting and event space, including a ballroom that can accommodate up to 350 guests. A 24-hour business center is also located on the premises.

In celebration of the opening, Hilton is offering members of its Honors loyalty program 1,000 bonus points per night up to 5,000 points for stays through July 31 of this year.
