IHG to Open New Holiday Inn in Munich

DSC_0762InterContinental Hotels Group announced plans to open a new Holiday Inn in Munich, Germany.

The Holiday Inn Munich – North will be a dual-branded property along with the Holiday Inn Express Munich – North on the Ingolstädter Straße. The new hotel will feature what the hotelier calls an Open Lobby, which brings together a lounge area, bar, and restaurant. It will have 156 guestrooms, a fitness center, and 11 meeting and event rooms.

The Holiday Inn Express will offer 236 guestrooms and guests will have access to the restaurant at the Holiday Inn.

In addition to the dual-branded property, IHG said that it plans to open six Holiday Inn Express locations throughought Germany in the near future. These will include the 177-room Holiday Inn Express Berlin – City Kurfürstendamm, the 168-room Holiday Inn Express Leipzig – City Hauptbahnhof (Brandenburgerstraße), the 163-room Holiday Inn Express Saarbrücken, the 186-room Holiday Inn Express Erlangen, the smaller, 86-room Holiday Inn Express Merzig, and the Holiday Inn Express Fürth.
