Edelweiss to Link Zurich with San Diego

Edelweiss Air, a member of the Swiss International Air Lines family, announced that it plans to begin new seasonal service between Zurich and San Diego on June 9 this year. The carrier will operate the route twice a week through September 18.

Flights are scheduled to depart Zurich at 1:30 p.m. on Mondays and 2:05 p.m. on Fridays, arriving in San Diego at 5:05 p.m. and 5:40 p.m.

From San Diego, flights will depart at 6:45 p.m. on Mondays and 7:10 p.m. on Fridays, and will arrive back in Zurich at 3:20 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. the next day.

Edelweiss will operate the route using Airbus A340-300 aircraft, equipped with 314 seats, including 27 lie-flat seats in business class, 76 seats in economy max, the carrier’s premium economy lite section, and 211 seats in economy. Business-class seats are 22” wide and have a bed length of 79”.
