DSC_0723Delta Air Lines announced it will begin offering products and tableware from design company Alessi on flights beginning April 1.

The new items were designed to balance “functionality and poetry and functionality and art, “ said Paolo Cravedi, Alessi’s managing director for North America, in a video statement at the time the partnership was first announced in late 2015. “We hope that our collection will really bring this element of not just service but hospitality on board.”

New products will include flatware, crystal glassware, new bone china, stainless steel serving pieces, trays, and accessories such as napkin rings and salt and pepper shakers.

The carrier will roll out the new items in its premium cabins including Delta One and first class in April, and plans to introduce them in Delta Premium Select later this year.
