DSC_1526Brussels Airlines announced the launch of flights between Brussels and Mumbai, India. The service is the carrier’s first to Asia, and the first route to connect Belgium and India since an Indian airline discontinued its service between the two countries in March 2016.

Flights will depart Brussels Airport at 10:45 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and arrive at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 11 p.m. From Mumbai, flights are scheduled to depart at 1:05 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and arrive in Brussels at 7:15 a.m.

The carrier will operate the route using Airbus A330-300 aircraft, equipped with 30 lie-flat seats in business class, 39 seats in economy privilege, the airline’s premium economy lite section, and 219 seats in economy. Business-class seats are 20.5” wide and have a bed length 70.5”.

Brussels Airlines is collaborating with fellow Star Alliance member Air India on the new route. This will allow passengers to easily make connections in both Brussels and Bombay.
