On the heels of an announcement adding significant new features to its Platinum Card, American Express said it plans to add several benefits to its Business Platinum Card as well.

The new benefits will include five points per dollar spent on hotel bookings made through American Express Travel. Access to its Global Lounge Collection at airports will be expanded to more than 1,000 lounges worldwide and Business Platinum Card holders will also the new Global Dining Collection program.

In addition, the complimentary membership in the Priority Pass airport lounge program will allow cardmembers to bring two guests with them into airport lounges.

Unlike the fee for the Platinum Card, which is increasing to $550 from $450 per year, the fee for the Business Platinum Card will remain at $450.

Only the cardmembers with the consumer Platinum Card, however, will receive a $200 per year Uber credit, VIP status with Uber, and up to five complimentary additional Gold Card on an account.
