Alaska to Add 12 New Routes from Bay Area including Austin, Kona, Nashville, Tucson, and Philly

DSC_0333Alaska Airlines announced that it plans to add 12 new daily routes from San Francisco and San Jose, California this year.

On August 28, Alaska will begin new San Jose-Austin flights, followed by San Jose-Tucson service on August 29. August 31, the carrier will start San Francisco-Philadelphia flights.

These will be followed by the September 5 launch of San Francisco-Nashville service, and on September 18, the airline will begin service from San Francisco to both Albuquerque and Kansas City. San Jose-Los Angeles service will be added as of September 20.

On September 21, new San Francisco-New Orleans flights are scheduled to begin, followed by service between San Francisco and Indianapolis on September 26.

Later in the fall, on October 16, Alaska will launch service to Baltimore from San Francisco. This will be followed by San Francisco-Raleigh flights on October 19. As of December 14, the carrier will begin flights to Kona, Hawaii from San Francisco.

Alaska also plans to start operating previously announced routes from the two Bay Area cities in the coming months, including San Jose-Newark, San Jose-Burbank, San Francisco-Orlando, San Francisco-Orange County, San Francisco-Minneapolis, and San Francisco-Mexico City.
