WestJet to Launch Winnipeg-Abbotsford Route

DSC_0514WestJet announced that it will begin new daily seasonal service between Winnipeg and Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada on April 30. The carrier also said that it will increase frequency on existing routes this summer.

Flights will depart Winnipeg at 7:25 a.m. and arrive in Abbotsford at 8:20 a.m. From Abbotsford, flights are scheduled to depart at 1:10 p.m. and arrive in Winnipeg at 5:48 p.m.

The carrier will operate the route through October 28.

WestJet also plans to increase its flights, as of April 30, between Abbotsford and Edmonton from 13 to 20 a week, as well as between Winnipeg and Edmonton from 21 to 24. On May 2, the airline will increase frequency on its Edmonton-Hamilton route from four to six weekly flights, and on May 6, it will add an additional weekly flight to its Hamilton-Halifax route, bringing the number from seven to eight.
