JAL, China Airlines to Increase Codeshare Flights

DSC_0119 2Japan Airlines announced that it expanded its codeshare with China Airlines to include all flights between Japan and Taiwan.

Beginning February 21, Japan Airlines will be able to place its code on China Airlines-operated flights to Taipei from Sapporo, Toyama, Shizuoka, Nagoya, Osaka, Takamatsu, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Kagoshima, Miyazaki, Okinawa, Ishigaki, and Tokyo Narita, as well as on flights to Kaohsiung form Sapporo, Osaka, Kumamoto, Okinawa, and Tokyo Narita and to Tainan from Osaka.

In addition, China Airlines will be allowed to place its code on JAL flights to Taipei from Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo Narita, and on the carrier’s Tokyo Narita-Kaohsiung route.

The expanded agreement will see the number of codeshare flights between the two airlines increase from 28 to up to 240 flights weekly.
