Air Canada Begins Montreal-Shanghai Flights

DSC_0090 (1)Air Canada announced the launch of new daily service on Thursday between Montreal and Shanghai. The route is the carrier’s first non-stop service from Montreal to Asia.

Flights will depart Montreal-Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport at 1:30 p.m. and arrive at Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 4:40 p.m. the next day. From Shanghai, flights are scheduled to depart at 6:15 p.m. and arrive in Montreal at 6:35 p.m. the same day.

The carrier will operate the service using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, the airline’s first route from Montreal to use the aircraft.

Air Canada’s 787-8s are equipped with 20 lie-flat seats in business class, 21 seats in premium economy, and 210 seats in economy. Business-class seats are 21” wide, and have a pitch of 80”.
