Volvo announced that it plans to introduce Skype for Business to its new 90 Series vehicles.

Drivers will be able to view upcoming meetings and participant details from the car’s information display. They will then be able to easily join meetings through the system as well.

The Swedish automaker said it is adding the functionality for safety purposes, so that drivers won’t have to “fumble” with the phones or enter a long code to join a call while at the wheel. In such instances, “your attention is not where it should be – on the road,” said Anders Tylman-Mikiewicz, vice president

Volvo is the first automaker to offer Skype in its vehicles.
