NEW YORK—United Airlines and Saks Fifth Avenue unveiled a special window display at the department store’s Fifth Avenue location Tuesday evening as part of their partnership in the new United Polaris business-class offering.

Passers by can view the artistic endeavor, entitled “Now Arriving,” which features a United Airlines aircraft fuselage and a new Polaris cabin interior, complete with fashionably attired passengers, the new Polaris seats, the Saks Fifth Avenue bedding that will be offered to passengers, and a variety of elegant travel bags and other accoutrements offered by the store.   The Polaris windows will be on display through January 20, 2017.

United celebrated the windows’ unveiling with a reception in its Café SFA on the store’s eighth floor.

Polaris is the airline’s new business-class product. Dubbed “Polaris” after the North Star, the new offering includes a new pre-flight dining experience, all-new cabin and seats, new bedding and amenities, and a new in-flight menu.

On board the aircraft, each suite-like pod is forward-facing and has direct aisle access, with a fully lie-flat seat that offers up to 78” of bed space. The suites feature a “Do Not Disturb” sign, mood lighting, one-touch lumbar support, various storage areas, multiple surfaces for simultaneous working and dining, and a 16” HD monitor.

United worked with Saks to develop custom-designed bedding, which features plush duvets, lightweight day-blankets, and large and small pillows. Mattress cushions and gel-cooled pillows will be available upon request, as will slippers on flights lasting longer than 12 hours.
