Starwood Preferred Guest will be making changes to the way its members earn points with Uber.

Beginning February 1, members will earn two Starpoints for every one dollar spent on Uber while staying at a participating SPG hotel. Previously, members could earn up to four Starpoints, depending on their tier.

Members will also be able to earn one Starpoint for every two dollars spent with Uber when not staying at a hotel. Previously, members could earn one Starpoint per every dollar.

Starwood Preferred Guest members must first link their SPG account with their Uber accounts on Starwood’s hotel loyalty program website in order to begin earning Starpoints with Uber.

In addition, the loyalty program will offer its members five Starpoints for every dollar spent with Uber while staying at an SPG participating hotel throughout the month of February.
