Delta Air Lines is experiencing a “system-wide” computer outage Sunday evening that is delaying all flights.

The Atlanta-based carrier’s website was non-responsive as of 7:20 p.m. EST.

Delta agents were answering phones in the call center saying “Thank you for calling Delta but our systems are down. Could you call back in an hour?” The airline’s interactive voice response system was also down due to the outage.

A Delta representative said that the outage had occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. EST.

FBT Associate Editor Jesse Sokolow was at Portland International Airport waiting to push back when the outage occurred. A flight attendant announced the system-wide outage and all passengers were asked to disembark.

No timeframe has been given as to when the airline’s systems will be back in operation.
