DSC_0016 (1)Clear, a company that provides expedited access to airport security checkpoints, announced the opening of new lanes at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.

Clear promises no more than a five minute wait at a security checkpoint. The company uses biometrics including fingerprint and iris identification technology to confirm a traveler’s identity at its checkpoints.

Travelers who enroll in the service at the airport will receive a one-month free trail and will be able to access Clear lanes immediately. The enrolment process consists of Clear digitally authenticating a traveler’s driver’s license or passport, confirming their identity, and creating a biometric account.

In addition to LaGuardia, Clear will debut at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport later this month, as well as Los Angeles International Airport and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport by the end of the first quarter of 2017. Last year, Clear made the service available at Detroit Metropolitan Airport, Seattle-Tacoma, Washington Dulles, Washington Reagan, and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
