Southwest Begins Flights to Havana

DSC_0016Southwest Airlines announced the launch of new service to Havana, Cuba from both Fort Lauderdale and Tampa. The Cuban capital is the carrier’s 100th destination and its second in Cuba.

Flights from Fort Lauderdale will be offered twice weekly, while service from Tampa will be offered daily.

In addition to Havana, the airline plans to launch flights to Santa Clara, Cuba later this week. The carrier also offers service to Varadero, which it began last month.

Cuba is the ninth country that Southwest serves. The carrier began its first international flights in 2014.
