DSC_0723Delta Air Lines announced that it plans to discontinue serving its brand of peanuts and pretzels in flight and replace these items with various well-known brands of snacks. Much to the relief of its frequent flyers, the carrier said it will, however, continue to offer its signature Biscoff cookies on flights.

Among the new snack offerings will be Snyder’s of Hanover pretzels and Squirrel Brand Honey Roasted peanuts, as well as NatureBox Apple Cinnamon Yogurt Bars.

The complimentary items will be available in coach on flights over 250 miles. Passengers on flights between 251 and 599 miles will be able to choose form the Biscoff cookies or Snyder’s of Hanover pretzels, while those on flights over 600 miles will have a choice of the cookies, pretzels, Squirrel Brand Honey Roasted peanuts, or NatureBox Apple Cinnamon Yogurt Bar. Those traveling on international flights will also have the option of Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzels or Squirrel Brand Honey Roasted peanuts.

The new items will come in larger portions than the carrier’s previous snack options. Delta also said that it plans to refresh its offering more frequently from now on based on customer feedback.
