Porsche Opens Second Experience Center in United States

DSC_9291Porsche announced the official opening of its new Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles. The complex is the car company’s second experience center in the United States, after its Atlanta location, which opened in 2015.

The $60 million, 53-acre (21-hectare) facility features a driver development track and eight educational modules. The latter includes two handling circuits, an ice hill, an off-road course, a dynamics area, a launch control and acceleration straight, a low friction handling circuit, and a low friction circle. The modules span some 4.1 miles (6.6 kilometers).

Visitors to the complex can participate in 90-minute experiences on the driver development track in Porsche cars, led by an instructor.

The facility also includes a racecar exhibit and a restaurant, Restaurant 917, named after the racecar that gave Porsche its first win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a French endurance race. Additionally, the complex has 6,000 square feet (557 square meters) of event meeting and event space that parties can reserve.

The new Porsche Experience Center is also the home of Porsche Motorsport North America, the sole authorized sales, parts, and service provider in the United States and Canada for all purpose-built Porsche race cars
