Hilton Hotels announced the opening of a new DoubleTree property in Gainesville, Florida. Located two miles (three kilometer) from the University of Florida, the DoubleTree by Hilton Gainesville was previously an independent hotel, the Cabot Lodge, and underwent an extensive renovation in becoming a Hilton property.

The hotel offers 205 guestrooms, and is designed with a University of Florida Gators theme. Each room has a 50” HD TV, as well as granite clad bathrooms.

Guests can dine at the property’s restaurant, Fodder and Shine, which offers American cuisine.

All televised University of Florida games and events will be shown live at the hotel.
