EVA Air Launches Taipei-Chicago Service

DSC_7676EVA Air announced the start of its new service between Taipei, Taiwan and Chicago. The carrier will operate the flights four times a week, using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Flights will depart Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport at 8:05 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays and will arrive at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport at 8:55 p.m. Flights from Chicago to Taipei will depart at 12:20 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arrive at 5 a.m. the next morning.

EVA Air’s 777-300s that will be used on the route are equipped with 39 lie-flat seats in Royal Laurel, the airline’s business-class cabin, 56 seats in Elite, the carrier’s premium economy section, and 238 seats in economy. Business-class seats are 26” wide and have a pitch of 81”.

Chicago is EVA Air’s eighth destination in North America, after Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver.
