Delta to Introduce New Premium Economy Section

DSC_0498Delta Air Lines announced that it will debut a new premium economy cabin, Delta Premium. Delta Premium will first be offered on select international flights towards the end of next year.

The section will feature seats up to 19” wide with up to 38” of pitch, able to recline up to 7”, and will have adjustable leg and headrests.

Passengers will receive a Westin Heavenly in-flight blanket with a pillow, as well as a Tumi amenity kit and pre-departure beverages.

Each seat will have a 13.3” screen and power outlet, and passengers traveling in Delta Premium will have access to Sky Priority check-in, expedited security screening, and priority boarding.

Delta will introduce the new cabin on its Airbus A350 wide-body aircraft, which are set to enter service in 2017. The aircraft will feature 48 Delta Premium seats.

The carrier said that it expects to roll out the cabin on its Boeing 777 fleet beginning in 2018.
