Alaska to Launch San Diego-Baltimore Route

DSC_0333Alaska Airlines announced that it will begin new service between San Diego and Baltimore on March 15 next year. The carrier will operate the service daily using both Boeing 737-800 and 900 aircraft.

Flights will depart San Diego International Airport at 10:55 p.m. and arrive at Baltimore-Washington International Airport at 6:46 a.m. the next day. From Baltimore, flights are scheduled to depart at 6:15 a.m. and arrive in San Diego at 8:39 a.m.

On the 737-800, the first class cabin is in a 2-2 configuration with 12 seats, while economy class has 147 seats.

The route will be the airline’s fourth East Coast destination added from San Diego in the past four years, along with Boston, Orlando, and Newark, which is set to begin next week.

Last week, Alaska launched service between Portland, Oregon and Newark.
