SilverArrow to Take Controlling Interest in PrivatAir

DSC_0121SilverArrow Capital Group, an investment firm, announced that it has acquired a controlling interest in PrivatAir, an airline based in Geneva, Switzerland.

PrivatAir, founded in 1977, operates scheduled wet-lease flights for other airlines including Lufthansa and SAS as well charter flights. The company has its base at Geneva International Airport, operates a private terminal at Geneva, and offers a variety of aviation services including aircraft sales, aircraft management and fuel management. In partnership with Swissport, it also operates PrivatPort, a ground services company.

The airline’s fleet currently includes Boeing 767s, 757s, Boeing Business Jets, Airbus A319s, as well as other business jets.

“PrivatAir and PrivatPort offer unlevered potential for profitable growth within a changing market,” said Thomas Limberger, SilverArrow’s CEO, who will also serve as PrivatAir’s chairman.

SilverArrow, which now holds 51% of PrivatAir, is based in the United Kingdom.
