JetBlue Reports Traffic, Load Factor Increase in September
JetBlue Airways announced operational results for September 2016.
The carrier said that its total traffic, capacity, and load factor were all up for the month.
The New York-based airline’s passenger traffic for the month was 3.432 billion revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 10.8% from 3.1 billion RPMs in the same period last year.
The carrier’s capacity also increased, up 7.9% to 4.13 billion available seat miles, or ASMs, from 3.82 billion ASMs in September 2015.
JetBlue’s passenger load factor for the month was 83.2%, a 2.1 percentage point increase from 81.1% last September.
