Delta Air Lines announced that members of its SkyMiles frequent flyer program can use their accumulated miles for private jet travel.

The new redemption option is available for 2.5 million miles for a $25,000 Jet Card. Users are able to specify the aircraft size (there are four categories to choose from a Light Jet, such as a Lear 40, to a Large Jet, such as a Challenger 601) and the program guarantees aircraft availability.

The Delta Jet Card comes with Diamond Medallion status in the Delta SkyMiles program which includes unlimited complimentary upgrades on domestic flights as well as other benefits and amenities. Card holders also receive 20% discounts when purchasing select full-fare Delta domestic or international tickets.

The hourly rate, which varies based on aircraft size, does include fuel costs but does not include catering and other incidentals.
