Austrian Airlines Debuts MyAustrian Virtual Assistant on Facebook
The chatbot provides customer support via Facebook Messenger. Austrian says that the service will respond to inquiries within a matter of seconds, 24 hours a day.
Customers can pose questions about travel, pertaining to anything from flight status to baggage and service, and lounge access. Additionally, the myAustrian chatbot will allow users to search for Austrian Airlines flights and travel ideas.
The service is still in its initial phase, which means users can only interact with it in English, though it will be available in German and other languages in the near future. The Vienna-based airline said it does not fully intend to replace humans with the service.
