ANA, Vietnam Airlines to Launch Codeshare Agreement

All Nippon Airways announced that it plans to begin a codeshare partnership with Vietnam Airlines.
The codeshare, which goes into effect October 30, will initially apply to ten routes between Japan and Vietnam, as well as 25 domestic routes in the two countries.
Members of ANA’s Mileage Club and Vietnam Airlines’ Lotusmiles will be able to earn miles on the new codeshare flights, and redeem miles on all flights of the other carrier.
In addition, Vietnam Airlines cabin crew will join ANA crew on board ANA-operated flights to serve as interpreters and make in-flight announcements in Vietnamese.
Earlier this year, ANA acquired an 8.8% stake in Vietnam Airlines.
