United to Offer Service to Havana Starting in November

DSC_0781 (2)United Airlines said late Thursday that it will begin offering flights from New York and Houston to Havana come November.

Daily non-stop flights from Newark Liberty International Airport will start November 29, while Saturday-only service from Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport will begin December 3.

Both flights require approval from the Cuban government although customers can purchase tickets on United’s website now. United will operate both routes using Boeing 737 aircraft.

Havana is United’s 13th new international route this year. Other new cities include Auckland, New Zealand; Tel Aviv; Xi’an, China; Singapore, Athens, and Lisbon.
