Today is National Coffee Day: Here’s Where to Get Your Free Cup of Joe
September 29 is National Coffee Day and, in celebration, many coffee-related businesses are offering customers free or discounted cups of coffee.
Here is a list of where you can get your complimentary morning (or afternoon) joe as well as a free donut in the case of Krispy Kreme. In some stores, a purchase is required.
Dunkin’ Donuts. Founded in 1950, one of the nation’s oldest major chains of coffeehouses is celebrating by offering medium cups of coffee for 66 cents in honor of its 66th anniversary.
Starbucks. The country’s most prominent chain of coffee houses isn’t offering a discount but will donate a coffee tree for every cup of brewed Mexico Chiapas cup of coffee in the United States or Mexico.
Wawa. The convenience store chain, which operates primarily in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Florida, is offering customers a free cup of “your favorite Wawa coffee” to celebrate.
Krispy Kreme. The nation’s oldest doughnut and coffee company – it was founded in 1937 – is offering customers a free 12-ounce coffee and an original glazed donut in honor of the observance.
Pilot Flying J Travel Centers. The chain of truck stops is offering a free small cup of its Pilot coffee or a small hot tea or cappuccino on the house.
LaMar’s Donuts. The gourmet donut chain, which has stores in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, free coffee with the purchase of a 16-oz. LaMar’s collectors travel mug for $1.19.
Sheetz. The Altoona, Pennsylvania-based convenience store chain that operates in six states, namely Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia – is offering its customers a small cup of its new cold brew coffee at no charge on presentation of a Sheetz customer loyalty card.
Peet’s Coffee & Tea. The Bay Area coffee roaster is offering a free medium drip cup of coffee with the purchase of any food product.
