The LM Lounge was a great place to work. I sat outside with my laptop after having breakfast and felt great inspiration from the city’s energy and skyline on a beautiful late summer day. The staff was friendly and service oriented.

The hotel also provides a 26,910-square-foot (2,500-square-meter) conference center and is located opposite the Palais des Congrès de Paris conference center.

DINING

Given my brief stay, my entire dining experience was limited to a very nice continental breakfast in the LM Lounge on my floor. I could not imagine a more pleasant breakfast than sitting on the terrace with my coffee, a yoghurt, an assortment of sliced cheeses and cold cuts, and freshly baked croissant and baguettes.

Unfortunately I didn’t have time to try Ma Chère & Tendre Steakhouse, the hotel’s restaurant.

The hotel is also home to the Jazz Club Étoile, which was also renovated. The designers brought in bright colors and vintage furniture and white tiles intended to be evocative of Parisian Metro stations. While I didn’t get to sit in on a set, the club offers food and drink to accompany a variety of jazz, soul, and blues.

BOTTOM LINE

My stay at Le Méridien Étoile was all too short but I found the service and interaction with the hotel’s staff so personal I didn’t even realize that this is the largest hotel in the center of Paris, with 1,025 rooms. Combined with extremely comfortable and intelligently designed accommodations, it is a property I can recommend without hesitation.
