Norwegian to Begin Flights to Barcelona from 4 U.S. Cities
Norwegian Air Shuttle announced that it plans to launch new service to Barcelona from four U.S. cities next summer. The carrier will begin flights from Newark, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, and Oakland in June and August 2017.
Norwegian will operate the new routes using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft equipped with Premium and coach cabins. Seats in Premium are 19” wide and have a pitch of 46”.
Beginning June 5, Norwegian will offer two weekly flights from Los Angeles International Airport to Barcelona-El Prat Airport. Starting at the end of August, the service will increase to three weekly flights.
On June 6, the airline will begin service from Newark Liberty International Airport to the Catalonian city. Norwegian will operate the service twice weekly until the end of August, at which point it will begin four flights a week.
The carrier will then launch flights between Oakland International Airport and Barcelona on June 7. The carrier will operate the service twice a week through the end of August, when it will switch to three weekly flights.
Finally, on August 22, Norwegian will begin its route between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Barcelona. The carrier will offer two flights a week.
