Lufthansa, Air China Begin Joint Business Venture

DSC_0254 3Lufthansa announced that it entered into a new joint business venture with Air China.

The venture will see Air China and Lufthansa, as well as Lufthansa Group carriers Austrian Airlines and Swiss International Air Lines, jointly operate on all flights between Europe and China. The carriers will also coordinate flight schedules and offer common fares.

The joint venture will “further expand network coverage in China and Europe, enhance the flight connections in beyond markets and optimize flight schedules, enabling us to bring more and flexible flight choices, favorable fare products and seamless travel experiences”, said Cai Jianjiang, chairman of Air China.

Lufthansa also has joint business ventures with Asian carriers All Nippon Airways and Singapore Airlines.
