Air China Begins Shanghai-San Jose Route

IMG_3681Air China announced the launch of new service between Shanghai and San Jose, California. The carrier will operate the route three times a week, using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

Flights will depart Shanghai at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and will arrive in San Jose at 10:40 a.m. the same day. From San Jose, flights are scheduled to depart at 12:30 p.m., also on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, arriving in Shanghai at 4:40 p.m. the next day.

Air China’s A330-200s are equipped with 30 lie-flat seats in the business-class cabin and 207 seats in economy class. Business-class seats are 21” wide, and have a pitch of 80”.

San Jose will be the carrier’s tenth gateway in the U.S. and North America, after Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Newark, Washington Dulles, Houston, Honolulu, Vancouver, and Montreal.
