DSC_0727WestJet announced Thursday it is offering members of other airlines’ frequent flyer programs an opportunity to match status to gold on WestJet Rewards.

Members of other carrier’s programs who sign up for WestJet Rewards before September 23, offer proof of top-tier status and take a WestJet-marked flight prior to October 31 will receive WestJet Rewards gold status.

WestJet Gold members receive benefits such as two free checked bags, ten airport lounge vouchers, four advance seat selection vouchers, advance boarding and priority screening at certain airports, and no fee to switch to an earlier or later flight on the same day of travel.

This is the first time that WestJet has extended a status match to all other carrier’s loyalty programs.
