Starwood Hotels and Resorts announced the sale of the Hotel Goldener Hirsch in Salzburg, Austria.

The buyer, which paid €20 million ($22.6 million), was the Wild Group, which owns the nearby Hotel Schloß Mönchstein, also in Salzburg.

The hotel chain will continue to operate the property as part of the Starwood Luxury Collection group.

The Goldener Hirsch opened its doors as a hotel in 1564 in a building that dates back to 1407. Located on the Getreidegasse in the city center, the hotel has 70 rooms including five suites as well as two restaurants, the Restaurant Goldener Hirsch and the Restaurant Herzl.
