The carrier will begin daily service to Puerto Vallarta, as well as twice-daily flights to both Cancun and Los Cabos.

All routes are subject to approval by the Mexican government.

Last month, Southwest received approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation to fly to Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta from Oakland, California. This route, also subject to approval by the Mexican government, is scheduled to begin operations on February 12, 2017.
