Starwood Hotels and Resorts announced the completion of an extensive renovation of the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas in Port Douglas, a town in Northern Queensland, Australia.

The approximately 43 million Australian dollars ($32.6 million) refurbishment saw changes made to the property’s 294 guestrooms. Each was redecorated with natural colors and coastal turquoise green, and the balconies of each room were outfitted with daybeds.

A highlight of the renovation is the introduction of what the hotel calls lagoon edge rooms and lagoon edge studio suites. These rooms and suites are on the ground floor and each has direct access to the saltwater lagoon pools.

The hotel also made changes to its lobby, with tropical gardens. The property also added 26 poolside cabanas.

As part of the renovation project, the hotel introduced a new restaurant, Feast, which features a buffet and poolside dining.
