JetBlue Set to Add Long Beach-San Jose Route, Increase Number of Flights from Long Beach

JetBlue Airways announced that it will begin new service between Long Beach and San Jose, California on January 4, 2017. In addition, the carrier said that it plans to increase frequency on its routes between Long Beach and Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City.

Flights to Mineta San Jose International Airport will be offered four times a day, departing Long Beach Airport at 7 a.m., 11:04 a.m., 4:40 p.m., and 7:48 p.m., arriving at 8:20 a.m., 12:23 p.m., 5:59 p.m., and 9:08 p.m., respectively. From San Jose, flights are scheduled to depart at 6:55 a.m., 9:01 a.m., 1:09 p.m., and 6:45 p.m., and arrive in Long Beach at 8:13 p.m., 10:18 a.m., 2:27 p.m., and 8:02 p.m.

Starting in November, the airline will add three additional daily flights from Long Beach to Las Vegas, one additional daily flight to San Francisco, and one extra daily flight to Salt Lake City.

JetBlue also said that it plans to expand its winter seasonal service between Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Buffalo, New York to year-round service when the route begins later this year.

All of the new flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, equipped with 42 seats in Even More Space, the airline’s premium economy lite section, and 108 seats in coach.  Premium economy lite-seats are 17.8” wide, and have a pitch of 38” to 39”.
